Guests are always welcome to visit Verdugo Hills Chorus rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm.
Why?
There are so many reasons to join! Spend time with a wonderful group of women; learn some amazing, classic songs; get a chance to perform and strut your stuff--or just bask in the JOY of singing!
The Verdugo Hills Chorus is comprised of more than 50 women and other marginalized genders, of all ages, with a variety of musical education and experience.
We're just like you! Members come from all over the Greater Los Angeles area to sing and enjoy the lasting friendships made here. We even have members who drive from Bakersfield to our rehearsal location in Glendale. We are doctors, nurses, homemakers, financiers, attorneys, teachers, IT professionals, etc., and come from all musical backgrounds. A few of our members know a lot about music and performing; some came to us with no prior singing experience outside of the shower! If you love to sing and are willing to learn, you are welcome!
Under the direction of Master Director, Tammy Ragsdale, each rehearsal is a lesson in vocal and performance skills. Along with musical development, the Verdugo Hills Chorus offers creative opportunities in areas like choreography, costume design, and scripting. Leadership opportunities are available for any member.
