VHC Hosts the A Cappella Scholarship Festival!
On Saturday, April 12th, Verdugo Hills Chorus was privileged to host the 19th annual A Cappella Scholarship Festival! The festival brings together talented high school choral groups from all over Southern California to compete for cash prizes that, in turn, support each school's music programs. Twelve schools passed auditions this year and competed for significant cash prizes. All this is made possible by a generous grant from the John C. Hench Foundation, which has supported musical education for decades.

Our intrepid ACSF Committee—Patti Loitz, Debi Bitterolf, Pat Vincent, and Pat Kahmann—works all year long to plan and coordinate all the communications, auditions, venue booking and preparation, staffing, judging, prizes, and other activities that go into making the event so successful every year. We are very grateful to them for sharing their prodigious skills and energies! | ![]() |
