VHC Hosts the A Cappella Scholarship Festival!
On Saturday, April 12th, Verdugo Hills Chorus was privileged to host the 19th annual A Cappella Scholarship Festival! The festival brings together talented high school choral groups from all over Southern California. Each of the twelve groups that passed their auditions this year competed in the festival and received scholarship awards in cash, supporting their school's vocal music education. The cash scholarship awards are made possible by a generous grant from the John C. Hench Foundation, which has championed musical education through every Verdugo Hills Chorus festival since 2005.

Our intrepid ACSF Committee—Patti Loitz, Debi Bitterolf, Pat Vincent, and Pat Kahmann—works all year long to plan and coordinate all the communications, auditions, venue booking and preparation, staffing, judging, scholarship awards, and other activities that go into making the event so successful every year. We are very grateful to them for sharing their prodigious skills and energies! | ![]() |
